Skid Marks of Legends

Yesterday, we went to Bristol Tennessee, and any of you race fans out there will know that is the home of the World's Fastest Half Mile, the Bristol Motor Speedway, one of NASCAR's most famous tracks. Every year for the Christmas season, they open up the track and the whole speedway to visitors with millions of christmas lights all over the place. Part of the attraction is right on the speedway itself, heading to the center, where they have a small 'village' in the middle with a small carnival and games, vendors ans such in the pit area. I usually try to go, but the past few years I hadn't been. This year we went, and I had a blast. This is a shot while I was driving on the track. I was admiring the skid marks from all the race cars that had been there, the black marks from drivers past on the walls, and such, when I tried to take a picture. This is the result, an accident, but a good one. You can see the reflection of the lights from the pits on the fender of my car as my car travels right beside and on top of the skid marks of legends that have raced there many a season. It made my day, and almost made me think I was in the wrong profession for a minute there!
