Description

...or you might know him better as James 'Logan' Howlett, the Wolverine.

My son Matt as a young Wolverine based from the X-Men Wolverine: Origin movie. He wanted to be Wolverine for Halloween 2010 and for future cosplay conventions.

The jacket is a real leather coat, altered and worked on to look like the Wolverine Origin jacket that Hugh Jackman is seen wearing as Wolverine in the movie. The coat itself was a real pain to make, it took two of us to get the alterations done. My mom and I did all the work ourselves, using only pictures and my memory from watching one of my favorite movies as a reference. The detail is as close to correct as we could get in a miniature version, using orange suede for the details, and even adding the zippers where they are on the movie version. The belt buckle is as accurate as I could get it too, and I did all the paintwork on it to make it as close to the one he wears in the movie as I could too. The dogtag Matt is wearing, is accurate as well, actually reading 'Wolverine' and his numbers below it. Although you can't see them in this picture, Matt is even wearing brown boots, as the movie shows too. The claws are my own work, and are made from dense plastic pieces I worked and cut into shape and made into the gloves he's wearing, and that is actual metal tone 'chrome' sheet on top of the claws to make them shiny and appear to be real metal. The only thing I did not make is the wig. It is an official Wolverine wig I ordered online. The rest is just Matt's normal clothes (for the shirts and jeans and such).

Next up for this costume, fully retracting claws, and maybe you'll see us at a Con near you.......bub! ;)
