"History In Bloom"
This is part of my Local Love series once again, but is also a contest entry, for the Photo-Assignment's Vintage Elegance contest. Wish me luck. I took this photo while visiting a local historical site, old cabins that used to be part of the Inn in the original part of town near the river port. These flowers were on trees and vines near and hanging on one of the old cabins. It's almost like being where Time had stopped when you walk around the old grounds. I edited the original photo just a little, only adding a burnt sepia warming color filter to give it a vintage look without taking all the color away all the way to sepia tone. Otherwise, the photo is in it's true form. I loved how the sun was glinting through the flowers like that and made the blue sky appear whited out due to the sun's glare. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
